Fully-Interactive TBI Exhibit

Medical Animation

Ms. Brown was walking home from work one day, exiting her last bus ride and entering a crosswalk. As she stepped forward, a mid-size car hit directly impacted her going full-speed from her left side. She was taken to the nearest hospital where doctors performed emergency surgery.

Her most serious injury was a severe traumatic brain injury that would permanently alter her physical and cognitive abilities. Her family filed suit against the county, the driver, and their insurance company. Her legal team realized the extent of her brain damage would be difficult for a jury to follow from start to finish. To address this, they contacted 3D Forensic to visualize the extent of these injuries for her neurologist's testimony in court.

The 3D Forensic team started by outlining the extent of each of Ms. Brown's injuries for an interactive presentation. After evaluating a few mediums for demonstration, the team and Ms. Brown’s attorneys agreed an interactive exhibit would be the best way to present the entire argument in court. The main benefit of this medium is that the case's medical professionals could dictate the speed of this presentation so a jury of non-medical professionals could fully understand each of the accident's consequences.

With the TBI as the primary injury of this case, multiple sections would break down the evidence of damage to the brain. The following videos demonstrate each section of the whole project.

The presentation served as the leading exhibit for the testimony of Ms. Brown's neurologist, radiologist and entire medical team. Thanks to their visual and verbal breakdown of Ms. Brown's neurological condition, the jury awarded a seven-figure verdict for her pain, suffering and medical expenses.

"We have used Jason Fries and his team twice to create medical videos depicting complex surgeries. The videos impressed both the jury and the defense attorneys. Perhaps most helpful, Jason will work on short notice and provide a persuasive product."
